By March 2021, Kmart will be proudly operating over 52 K hubs around regional Australia, bringing everyday items to regional communities.

The role

As a K hub Assistant Store Manager, you will have led teams in a retail environment. With sales of around $10M per year, you will support the Store Manager by leading around 25 team members from the front line in this hands on role, managing the day to day and executing on the stores strategic goals. No two days are the same in our K hubs!

The role of the Assistant Store Manager is to support the Store Manager in ensuring that our K hubs are the best place to work and shop and where where customer experience & community engagement is a priority. K hubs are often the hub of the community and we treat this responsibility with high regard.

You will be required to manage the daily tasks that are required in the store to ensure whilst coaching our talented team members in everyday activities that we are learning & growing together. With the focus on improving the in-store experience, you will provide clear direction to team members, drive team engagement and ensure we are the number one discount department store for the community in which we operate.

 You

The ideal candidate should have a solid background in retail management and exposure to the administration aspects of running a multi-million-dollar business. You must have a strong belief in delivering excellence in customer experience and community engagement. You will be a high achiever with a passion that will motivate and inspire your team, along with being the pillar of your local community.
