What are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner who is responsible for leading product discovery, creating product vision, and contributing to the overall product strategy & roadmap in support of company-wide goals and objectives. The product owner will use technical and business knowledge to identify opportunities in line with relevant strategic objectives whilst enhancing the user experience (where relevant).

To be successful in securing this role, you will ideally possess the following skills and experience;

  • The product owner will own the product backlog ensuring the right initiatives are prioritized in a fair and transparent way delivering the maximum possible value with the resources available.
  • Experience with RFID, Inventory Management, and Supply Chain would be highly desirable.
  • Exceptional planning, communication, presentation, negotiating and influencing skills
  • Demonstrated capability to think strategically and understand business dynamics  
  • Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams to define a customer centric end to end experience
  • Well versed with product life cycle, MVP and iterative development
  • Highly analytical, ability to capture and use data and insights to drive decision making
  • Experience in understanding user needs and able to drive business outcome
  • Able to apply technical insights to product development

About You

As a Product Owner you will work closely with the Head of Product. You have experience working within an agile environment acting as the glue between multiple functions, synthesising multiple data points and conveying this to the development teams to ensure they understand the business expectations to help inform what should be delivered to the customer and by when.

Key responsibilities of this role are outlined as follows:

  • Provide vision and direction to your squad, inspiring them to think creatively to achieve the agreed mission and metrics
  • Manage value estimation and prioritisation and trade-offs among conflicting business priorities
  • Ensure commercial and product success by measure and showcasing the value delivered by your squad
  • Manage and groom the product backlog in collaboration with tech and UX leads
  • Work with the development team and stakeholders to break down initiatives into manageable phases that deliver value to the customer
  • Contribute to and, where appropriate, facilitate delivery team activities, such as ideation, discovery, requirements clarification activities and agile ceremonies as a core product-delivery team member
  • Track, measure and be accountable for achieving product KPIs and success measures at the individual product and portfolio levels
  • Responsible for both functional and non-functional aspects of the product, including, but not limited to customer-experience, performance, availability, reliability etc.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders for creating business case required for product enhancements and owns the business case for technology enhancements
