What are we looking for?

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join our Employee Relations team.

Reporting into our Head of Employee Relations for Kmart Group, this role will support the delivery of employee relations activities across Kmart Group – including: Enterprise Bargaining projects, Compliance, Group ways of working, litigation and advocacy.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Employee Relations Advocacy – manage employment litigation matters, including appearing on behalf of our brands at the Fair Work Commission
  • Business Partnering – ensure the people & capability team are provided with the required support to lead the resolution of employee relations issues and cases
  • Enterprise Bargaining – supporting the end-to-end Enterprise Bargaining process for Enterprise Agreements across the group
  • Projects – partnering with the business in the delivery of expert employee relations advice in relations to projects and operations initiatives
  • Employee Relations Capability – partner with the people & capability teams to develop and implement training for line managers in key workplace relations policies
  • Compliance – supporting compliance activities across the group

About You

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Law, IR or HR with good working experience in a similar role.  Enterprise bargaining and negotiation skills is essential as is strong stakeholder management and communication skills along with commercial and practical thinking, good experience in workplace investigations and excellent organisation skills, attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
