What are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced Media Specialist reporting into the Personalisation Product Owner who is responsible to coordinate the delivery of enhanced personalised media experiences for Kmart shoppers that are seamlessly connected to 1:1 and onsite experiences.
As the Media Specialist you will be accountable to increase the level of customer satisfaction and profitability of Kmart online shoppers.
Work effectively with squad members, stakeholders and agency to deliver experiences across paid media channels.


To be successful in securing this role, you will ideally possess the following skills and experience;

  • A thorough understanding of the digital media marketplace and best practices across search, social, display and video.
  • Strong understanding of the role media plays in relation to personalisation offsite and onsite.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of the digital adtech and martech landscape including DSPs, Ad servers and DMPs.
  • Deep understanding of Facebook, Google, programmatic services and capabilities.
  • Ability to coordinate with the media agency to brief in requirements (creative, copy, audiences etc.) and get necessary information and inputs to feed back into the team for personalisation in owned channels.
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager and implementation of CM floodlights a plus.
  • Knowledge of experimentation and Agile methodologies preferred.
  • Experience in using reporting tools such as Google Analytics to measure performance and provide optimisation ideas.
  • 2+ years experience in media buying or related field. Previous agency experience preferred.
  • Experience working in cross-functional, agile teams preferred.


About You

As the Media Specialist you will work with others to identify opportunities to improve the paid media experience and how it connects with 1:1, onsite and instore channels. Be able to provide thought leadership on all facets of digital media and how they can work together effectively. Analysis and report on findings from initiatives including maintaining up to date product knowledge across major digital publishers .Working effectively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver content to personalisation delivery squad is also essential.

Key responsibilities of this role are outlined as follows:

  • Develop and maintain a strong, collaborative relationship with media agency and other partners
  • Work with the personalisation delivery squad members and agency to build and execute paid media experiences
  • Understanding what is required to deliver impactful personalised customer experience.
  • Communicate ideas and findings in a meaningful and effective way.
  • Coordinate many moving parts to design and deliver paid media experiences that are seamlessly connected to other channels
