What we’re looking for?

Kmart has embarked on a journey to deliver a digitally supported best-in-class fit-for-purpose product operating model that is efficient, flexible and collaborative, optimizing speed to market and decision making that delivers better products at even lower prices. It is envisioned that a state-of-the-art Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, supporting end-to-end from product design through to shipment, will enable us to achieve our objectives.

As a program leader of this multi-million dollar, fast paced, highly impactful program,  you will have an opportunity to work with cross-functional, cross-geography, technology and business teams.  Your role will be, to not only help implement PLM system but also help the organization achieve the business outcomes.

Specifically, this 15 month fixed term contract will see you responsible for:

  • Ensuring  the program is on track – schedule, cost and resources as well as outcomes
  • Be the designated point of contact for the program for the vendor, key stakeholders as well as overall program escalations/decisions.
  • Managing risks, issues and mitigation plans
  • Orchestrate work across all the different cross-functional squads and technology squads
  • Management of overall Program Governance
  • Management of stakeholder communication

About You

To meet the challenges of this role, you will ideally possess the following skills and experience:

  • At least 3 years’ experience of leading large programs in retail business
  • Experience in leading change
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
  • Demonstration of an Agile mindset and experience delivering using Agile framework.
  • Ability to lead and manage a large functional area comprising multi-disciplined teams

This role will suit those Program Managers who have an eye on the prize and don’t mind embarking on the journey to reach that prize.  This isn’t for the feint-hearted, but will be fulfilling.  You will need to draw on your patience as delivering such a large program doesn’t happen overnight.   Are you up for it?
