What we’re looking for?

Kmart Group is looking for a Learning & Capability Specialist . This is a key role in Kmart Group as the Learning and Capability Specialist provides expertise in learning design, collaboration, engagement, change management and program management to deliver on the learning requirements to support Kmart’s Strategy of 10.1.6 and ensuring all learning is consistent with the values and desired culture.  This role partners across Kmart, Target, Kmart Asia Sourcing , Kmart Group Asia and Catch. 

  • Proven track record in consulting on the inhouse design and delivery of learning and leadership initiatives
  • A good understanding of contemporary learning methodologies and experience in digital learning, micro learning and pedagogy design.
  • Strong understanding and experience in the end to end process for creating and delivering leadership and technical initiatives 
  • Ability to work on multiple complex projects, in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and industry leading delivery methods
  • Developing measures to demonstrate learning program outcomes
  • Demonstrated project management skills including human-centred design, agile and lean methodologies
  • Experience in change management and communication plans for learning initiatives

About You

The purpose of the role is to identify and add value to Kmart Group’s businesses, and to develop capability in line with the stakeholder’s success metrics and the P&C strategy. Through leveraging the Leadership & Capability team’s design methodology, developing meaningful partnerships with stakeholders, the role quickly identifies opportunities, builds solution briefs for programs and analyses their effectiveness against set measurables.

  • Strong understanding of digital learning technologies and their application to support business systems and processes including LMS platforms and authoring tools such as Articulate (Rise and Storyline) and Illustrator or InDesign.
  • Strong knowledge of various Leadership models, styles and behaviours
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to build credibility with all levels of business
  • Excellent ability to manage program rollouts in complex and busy environments
  • Ability to prioritise and problem solve using deductive reasoning
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Strong ability to develop and present learning strategies that meet stakeholders’ needs whilst fulfilling the learning methodologies and considering environmental factors
  • Demonstrate the effectiveness of learning and development through learning metrics and both causation and correlational performance measures
