What we’re looking for?

Kmart is currently investing heavily in Automation and as such are looking for an Automation Product Owner to join the team.  This role will be reporting into the Head of Corporate Systems and will be responsible for building Automation capability within the Kmart Group.  This is a great opportunity to shape Automation within Kmart.

This role will be responsible for the following:

  • Overseeing the functional and technical automation designs that address business requirements whilst considering environmental constraints;
  • Ensuring the team deliver and support automation solutions that not only exceed business needs, but are aligned with our architectural principles and meet our high-quality standards;
  • Be the Automation technology thought leader in the space of Automation, driving technology practices and solutions across the Kmart Group.

About You

To meet the challenges of this role, you will ideally possess the following skills and experience;

  • Extensive experience providing leadership for an Automation Engineering technology team;
  • Demonstrable experience designing and building automated solutions (chatbots, self-healing solutions etc);
  • Experience in Agile development environments using SAFE, SCRUM and/or KANBAN delivery techniques
  • Excellent analytical skills, be a driver of change whilst representing users’ interest
  • Amazing leadership skills – creating and driving a high performing team.
