What we’re looking for?

Reporting into the New Formats Merchandise Manager, the Space and Layouts Manager will be responsible for developing a new, innovative and efficient approach to space management in Kmart’s new format stores.  With the conversion of Target Country stores to Kmart Hubs, this 12 month fixed term contract role will be primarily responsible for defining the guidelines and principles to execute these conversions in an efficient and innovative way.  This role will ensure commercial return on space whilst ensuring the visual space representation is adequate to support each of the product categories.

This role will see you working collaboratively with the Space team, Merchandise, IT, Visual Merchandising and store design to ensure an engaging and optimised product presentation standard that reflects our customer buying behaviour is developed.

About You

To meet the challenges of this role, you will possess the following skills and experience;

  • Demonstrable experience developing innovative store layout and space solutions

  • Amazing influencing and communication skills enabling you to engage with stakeholders across the wider business

  • Exceptional problem solving skills and the ability to analyse an issue and make a decision to ensure the problem is resolved;

  • Ability to know what takes priority, whilst managing your workload and meeting agreed delivery timelines.
