What we’re looking for?

Reporting in to Operations Manager – New Formats, the role of Operations Analyst – New  Formats is to provide via analysis, insights and reporting, assistance in the development of the retail operating model for Kmart new stores format.  You will be responsible for providing insight around inventory accuracy, flow and where relevant insights around supply chain optimisation and process efficiencies. Summary of the key responsibilities of this role outlined as follows;

  • Work with the business to identify business process improvements opportunities and the documentation of those processes;

  • Maintain data, extract information and develop metrics and scorecards to support business decisions and measure overall performance;
  • supporting the development of the operating model including digitised processes, RFID systems, optimised inventory flow and connected customer experience.


 About You

To meet the challenges of this role, you will ideally possess the following skills and experience;

  • A solid understanding of statistical and analytical techniques such as modelling, forecasting, factor analysis;

  • strong analytical and problem solving skills and demonstrable experience in both these areas;

  • Previous experience in supply chain and retail

  • Ability to create solution based reports and make recommendations to improve both operational efficiency and customer satisfaction;

  • Advanced skills in EXCEL, SQL, VBA and/or R
