What we’re looking for?

Reporting in to the Head of Stores, we currently have an opportunity for a Solution Architect to join our team to support the delivery function by designing, developing and communicating architectural models, processes, tools and patterns.  This role will see you working with engineers, other Architects as well as key stakeholders and teams across the Kmart Group (Kmart, Target and Anko) to define and constantly evolve future architecture to ensure we continue to adapt and build on modern architecture and practices thus reducing our technical debt and  driving value faster.

Kmart has a significant amount of new work in the pipeline to continue to improve  customer shopping experience, so this role will see you build sound solution architecture that is modern and fit for purpose.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have the following:

  • Complete end-to-end ownership of solution design and architecture
  • Ability to engage with multiple stakeholders to conduct workshops and design solutions that are practical and future proof aligned to the strategy;
  • Ability to convey complex, technical ideas in a way that the non-technical audience understands;
  • Define digital capabilities and their value to the business
  • Amazing software engineering skills, providing insights into new digital trends relevant to Kmart
  • Strong retail experience and domain knowledge
  • Great decision making, relationship building and communication skills.
