Growth at KAS Services (KASS) has been exponential since our Technology Centre in Bangalore was established in early 2018 and we have multiple brands of Kmart Group reaching out to tap into the talent landscape. We now have a critical central point-of-contact role available to facilitate and coordinate business transformation and projects between the brands (KASS and Kmart Group retail brands in Australia).

Based at Kmart National Office in Mulgrave and reporting to the Director, Kas Services in Bangalore, the role of the Business Excellence Manager will focus on building the Group Business readiness capabilities, paving the way for identifying and expanding capabilities in KAS Services and integrating them with teams in Australia. Key responsibilities and deliverables include but not limited to the following:

  • identify and implement solutions to support the group’s future state in leading improvements in productivity, to increase capacity to deliver new capabilities
  • Working with executives and senior stakeholders, influence the wider business and playing a key role in navigating identified change, drive and implement strategic initiatives that deliver results
  • Integrate and support change management at the organizational level, building activities and strategies into project delivery plan
  • Play an integral part of supporting Kmart Group strategy by supporting functions with building incremental capabilities and optimisation cost 
  • Drive compliance with law/internal controls/policies across projects and BAU both at Bangalore and Melbourne
  • Identify risk early and corresponding mitigation plan in partnership with business leaders
  • Lead the business transformation strategic delivery including regular reporting, risk monitoring and establishment of governance structure
  • Ensure best practice processes and procedures are followed for successful delivery and stakeholder engagement across multiple brand functions
  • Please note that international travel to Asia on a quarterly basis (approx.) will be a requirement of this role

To meet the challenges of this role you will ideally be able to meet the following criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business or Finance combined with formal qualifications in Change Management (desirable)
  • Demonstrated experience in leading complex change management combined with project management experience
  • High level organisational and planning skills across country boundaries
  • Demonstrated ability to effect and manage diverse and multi-disciplinary teams
  • Exposure to and understanding of the international business environment
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence across all levels of business
  • Strong commercial acumen based on well-developed analytical skills
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organisational issues
  • Working with different departments within the business is a requirement of this role so strong communication skills will be essential
