We are now seeking an experienced Product Owner (12-months fixed term) that has (ideally) previously supported projects in the retail/ecommerce space to ensure the smooth running of an integral project for the Online team. To be successful in securing this role, you will ideally possess the following skills and experience;

  • Strong business acumen
  • Familiarity with agile and lean methods
  • Able to work with researchers and UX to define a great end 2 end experience
  • Familiarity with user-centred design
  • Good understanding of modern web technologies
  • Exceptional planning and communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to support empowered teams
  • Knowledge of ecommerce trends and technologies.

Key responsibilities of this role are outlined as follows;

  • Keep the backlog of projects for the online team up to date to ensure the right initiatives are prioritized in a fair and transparent way
  • Deliver the maximum possible value with the resources available and identify opportunities for further investment.
  • Help the design and development teams understand the business expectations and what should be delivered to the customer and by when
  • Encourage generation of ideas that assist in the delivery of the online department goals
  • Report on the value delivered through individual and groups of initiatives along with what further potential value is available
  • Agree robust prioritization framework
  • Work with the team and stakeholders to break down initiatives into manageable phases that deliver value to the customer and learnings to the business.
