It's an exciting time at Kmart - we are currently New Zealand's most profitable retailer and we have some big plans in place that will ensure our business continues to grow and be hugely successful! We are currently transforming the look and feel of our stores with the aim of significantly increasing our retail business. We have over 200 stores already open throughout Australia and New Zealand, we employ over 30,000 team members and we have another 50 new stores in the pipeline to ensure we are expanding our business!

We have a new store opening early 2019 in Blenheim and we are currently seeking two experienced retail department managers to join and lead the Blenheim team!

Our Retail Department Managers lead a team of 15+ staff while increasing sales results year on year. They coach, motivate and develop their team, replenish and merchandise the department and provide an exceptional customer experience.

We offer a fun and fast paced work environment with an opportunity to gain exposure to big box retailing and professional development (leadership training programs).

The ideal candidate should have a solid background in retail management, a passion for driving exceptional customer service and (ideally), experience working within retail in a big box environment. You will be a high achiever with a passion that will motivate and inspire your team, along with the ability to manage those above and below you. Enthusiastic and reliable, your ability to work flexible hours and at different locations will be the key to your success.

Availability for commencement in January 2019 is essential.
