Lean Project Manager - 2 year contract

To support our strategy and global expansion we have adopted Lean thinking and practise across our business to maximise our customer value while minimizing waste. To support this Lean transformation and implementation we are seeking to appoint a highly experienced Lean Project Manager on a two-year fixed term contract.

Based at our National Office in Mulgrave and reporting to the National Lean Renewal Manager the Lean Project Manager will be responsible for:

  • Identification and effective engagement of key stakeholders impacted by the project or program of work, partnering at all levels across the business to develop and sustain constructive relationships to collaboratively deliver great outcomes
  • Project initiation, trial, test, build and implementation (end to end project lifecycle management) using KAIZEN methodology
  • Ensure risks within the project are assessed, mitigated and monitored to deliver sustainable business and customer outcomes while maintaining quality
  • The successful delivery of all aspects of project including, support and facilitation of change management, stakeholder management and measures using KAIZEN methodology
  • Coaching management regarding the use of Lean business techniques to remove waste and fix problems along with educating others on identification of “waste”; and lead Kaizen events using Kaizen methodology
  • Respond to innovation and advances in technology that affect or enhance project execution or outcomes

To be considered for this role you will require:

  • Extensive experience working in large scale retail Kaizen projects
  • Experience in delivery across a program lifecycle (analyst, program manager, project manager, consultant)
  • Exceptional change management, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong experience in stakeholder management and consultation
  • Specific expertise in portfolio retail operations (store operations, supply chain, inventory, store renewal, shared services, IT) will be strongly regarded
  • Advanced business acumen, analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Project / Program delivery experience
