To help deliver our plans and vision, we are currently seeking to appoint an Inventory Manager (General Merchandise) to the team.  Reporting to the newly created role, Head of Fulfilment, this role will be responsible for supporting and delivering the strategic operational objectives, leading and managing the General Merchandise teams to maximise on-shelf availability of product whilst optimising general merchandise inventory turns and minimising supply chain costs.

This role you will see you responsible for the following:

  • Ability to develop and implement replenishment strategies;
  • Supplier performance and relationship management;
  • Inventory cover and stock turn management and targets;
  • Coaching and developing the General Merch team leaders;
  • Working closely with Merchandise and Supply Chain on events ie Xmas, Easter, Catalogues; and
  • Supporting the delivery of a new fulfillment project over the next 12 months.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate your experience in the following areas:

  • Outstanding analytical skills;
  • Deep understanding of store nuances and requirements;
  • Excellent influencing, negotiating and communication skills;
  • Ability to deliver against objectives;
  • Understanding of merchandise forecasting and replenishment processes and strategies; and
  • Strong understanding of retail supply chains and distribution channels.
