We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Financial Control Manager to take on this high profile leadership role within the Finance team. This is more than your day to day operational role and requires an individual with a proven work history with people management, driving high performance within a team environment and seeking continuous improvement for the department.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this role will see you take accountability for preparing Financial Statements, including analysis on; historic performance, budgets and forecasts. You will also lead transactional accounting services, including accounts payable, banking and revenue, as well as a centre of excellence for the provision of technical accounting advice and policy setting, including tax and legislative compliance.
To meet the challenges of this role you will need to meet the following criteria
- Hold formal tertiary qualifications in Commerce / Business disciple, alongside with either CA or CPA accreditation.
- Demonstrate up to date technical knowledge on accounting standards, tax and corporate governance.
- Proven senior management and leadership skills with strong emphasis on interpersonal skills and building a high performance team.
- Previous financial control experience in a large multi-site organisation, including management of medium-large teams
- Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
- Commercial focus and finance transformation experience
Working with different departments within the business is a requirement of this role so strong communication skills will be essential.
