With a focus around our store presentation and customer experience, we now have an opportunity for an Experiential Store Designer to join our team during an exciting time of growth. This newly created role will be a part of our Architectural/Design Standards team and work on evolving our store formats.
Reporting into the Architectural/Design Standards Manager, this role is much more than your average store designer role. The Experiential Store Designer will take designs from brief to concept and final design presentation. They will assist in evolving and developing strategies and design concepts of the generic store format. The ultimate purpose is to reach Kmart’s target market through a Brand experience with seamless design between 3D (built environment) and 2D (graphics).
This is a role where you will never be pigeonholed and is busy, varied and diverse. You will never get bored in this role, as every day is different!
Our team operates like a studio, which includes collaboratively working with visual merchandising, space and category management and part of a broader team including branding experts.
Expect to work within a multidisciplinary team where your knowledge of appropriate 2D/3D design skills will be critical in bridging and developing holistic design concepts.

The ideal candidate will have;
- Experience in store design, including fixture and fittings
- Experience in Graphic Design & Adobe CS
- 2D (graphics) and 3D (built environment) experience
- Solid BIM or 3D visualization skills
- Good understanding of new design trends (locally and internationally)
- Architecture, Interior or Exhibition Design background
- Retail experience (would be highly regarded)
